Quote: We wanted to get away from the hectic environment that we all call life and enjoy some quality family time without having to go too far. We picked a state we had never been to in order to try something new.

We were looking for something that didn't feel like a hotel, and that is what we got. The accomodations were very nice. The living room could have been a little bigger, but it was still nice. We had a fireplace, which we had running most of the time. The balcony was semi-private, due to the next room's balcony being right next to ours. The view of the mountains was absolutely beautiful. Overall, the accommodations were decent. The rooms where clean, and everything was stocked. I disliked having to go all the way to the trash bin to throw out the trash; in the cold, it was too far. The indoor pools and spas were very nice, but you have to go outside and walk to the building to use the facilities (agai...Read More

Best Things Nearby:Flume Gorge attraction is about 20 minutes by car and is open all year round. It is a pay-to-see attraction, but it is nice to enter and lose yourself in such a massive and natural wonder. There are also plenty of breakfast places about three miles downtown. There is a Rite Aid and a McDonald's in town for those who need them.Best Things About the Resort:It has two indoor pools and two indoor hot tubs. We also liked the on-site play area for the children. For those of you who like to work out while away, they did have a gym.Resort Experience:We were looking to get away, and that is what we did. There weren't many people there, due to it bein...Read More

We had a great time. The staff was great and friendly. We visited the Flume Gorge, about 20 minutes away. The attraction was a pay-to-hike, but it was worth it. The natural wonder was beautiful. It was off-season when we were there, so there wasn't very much to do. The resort didn't have any planned activities, and I would have liked a few options. The grounds were beautiful to explore and watch. The atmosphere was very relaxed and laid-back. Town is only three miles away and includes a Rite Aid Pharmacy and a McDonald's, along with all the neat, small shops of the area. This is a nice spot for people who don't want to be bothered by crowds or fast-paced environments. Off-sea...Read More
