Chankanaab is the only ecological park on the island, THE place to visit if you go to Cozumel. Bring your snorkels and get ready for a lot of fun.

Besides all of the beautiful fish, there is a Spanish cannon, a Mayan sculpture, and some other things that you will want to see in the deepest part of the sea.

Believe it or not, we swam with a sea lion! Her name was Nena, and she is the loveliest and sweetest sea lion in this world. Don't call her "seal". The difference between a seal and a sea lion is that sea lions have ears, and they are able to stand on what looks like their feet. She was sooo lovely, and Alex, her traner, showed us some tricks and let us swim with her. THANK YOU AGAIN ALEX!

This is definitely the place where you want to bring your kids and have a GREAT time -- swimming with a sea lion was an absolutely amazing time! But there is more -- take a look at my next journal...

Also one of the most amazing experiences that you have to have at least once in a lifetime is swimming with dolphins. It feels like -- I don't know -- I can't describe it, you just have to do it. This could be a quite expensive activity, since you pay about $100, but it's something that you will never forget. Venus and Pegaso were our dolphin friends, and even though we are over 20 years old, we had fun like we were little kids.

Just to let you know, Chankanaab has the biggest dolphinarium in Mexico and Latin America. Take a look at this...
