Puerto Vallarta third wheel???

All-inclusive in Mexico! Yes ma'am! I went with my buddy and his girlfriend to an old fishing town called Puerto Vallarta, and it was great!

Quick Tips:

Gotta eat out at some of the restaurants! They have guacamole everywhere, and its gooood! Nuevo Vallarta's beach was better, but you're closer to the action in Puerto!

Best Way To Get Around:

Cabs weren't bad at all. Basically, they are three bucks to get anywhere in town.

Best Things Nearby:
Umm, it's in Nuevo Vallarta, so the beach was nice! It is a good spot. Very close to everything in Nuevo Vallarta.

Best Things About the Resort:
If you want a high-end, top notch, Gold Crown Resort, this is it! It is mandatory all-inclusive, but it is worth it!

Resort Experience:
Open-air lobby with a thatched-like hut roof! Marble floors, with beautiful, garden-like landscapings! An infinity pool -- one where the edge just drops off -- was awesome! A nice pool bar right by the edge, so you can watch some of the most famous sunsets! Restaurants weren't many, but they were quality! I had so much sushi and beer, I know I made up for my all-inclusive! Ha!

Best Things Nearby:
In Puerto Vallarta, everything is pretty much in town. Restaurants are down the street, with pubs closeby. It's a nice spot, but the beach on this side of town just wasn't as nice.

Best Things About the Resort:
Lots of amenities: restaurants, pubs, pools. Several two-bedrooms could be available.

Resort Experience:
Buganvilias is a big resort with lots of nice amenities. The units were okay. Furniture was pretty old, and not very comfortable. TV was small, and it just didn't have the Gold Crown feeling. I suppose, everything considered, it is worthy of a Gold Crown, though. It's big and well-kept. Nice grounds, and a really cool pool with several waterfalls! The beach is right there, and so is the rest of town. A good spot and a nice place to stay!

Best Things Nearby:
Once again, if you are in Puerto Vallarta, everything is very close, and a $3 cab ride will get you everywhere. Good restaurants in walking distance, along with some decent shopping.

Best Things About the Resort:
Now this was our favorite resort, and if you read about the Grand Velas All Suites, you are probably surprised! But this Velas, the original Velas, and sister to the Grand Velas, was where it was at! Much larger and more pools, plus a great swim-up bar! But there were more 20-somethings and 30-somethings, and overall, it just had a more laid-back party atmosphere! I was there to party and have fun, so this was more my speed! Now, it wasn't crazy, but I could see the potential!

Resort Experience:
Beautiful landscaping, great big pools, and the rooms were awesome! Very nice, with a great tile and hardwood balcony! Plus, I was on the eighth floor, so I had a nice view! All-inclusive is less here, but the food was still incredible. Once again, the all-inclusive was a great deal for me!
