Divi Dutch Village

An October 2004 trip to Aruba by hlrange

This was an old tired resort in need of renovations and better maintenance. There was a very nice beach. We didn't spend much time there, and I can't comment on activities.

The beach.

Resort Experience:
Old, tired resort in need of work. Water seeped through windows and sliding doors when it rained. Large rooms. Grounds were in need of work, but has a great beach.

The food was excellent. My wife had Janette's Crab Cakes as an appetizer and the rack of lamb as her meal. I had homemade Lobster Raviolis and Madame's Surf and Turf. Visit www.madamejanette.com.

Restaurant | "Chalet Suisse"

This was an excellent restaurant, as the food was fantastic and serice was great. I highly recommend this restaurant. For an appetizer, I had Seafood Chalet Suisse, which had shrimp, crab meat, fish, lobster and freshly sliced mushrooms. My main corse was the Caribbean Seafood Platter. My wife had Ceaser Salad and the Filet of Redsnapper with Creole Sauce.
