Anniversary in Kauai

A September 2004 trip to Kauai by cgladydi

We went to Bali Hai. The concierges were wonderful and were always available to answer questions. The beaches were beautiful and the sunset each night took your breath away. The condo was wonderful and clean and the service great. Check-in/out was at the airport. Thanks to the Pahio crew, we had a wonderful vacation

The beaches and the sunsets and the beautiful flowers and greenery. It was very clean. The red dirt was amazing. Make sure you keep it off your clothes. Go online prior to going there to see all the things you can do and make plans before you get there. Don't miss snorkling or any other underwater adventure. If you easily get motion sickness, skip the boat rides.

Quick Tips:

Before you buy things really shop around. There are so many places, and you can find things within any budget. If you are in the military, don't miss the club at Barking Sands Base.

Best Way To Get Around:

To get around, rent a car.
Best Things Nearby:
Beaches, the Guava Plantation, and the lighthouse.

Best Things About the Resort:
There were activities scheduled at the resort and bus transportation to Luau. The concierges were wonderful, helping us to plan our week. You could use the facilities at other Pahio Resorts.

Resort Experience:
There is parking right in front of the condo, so you don't have to walk a long way with luggage. It's an easy way in and out, and there are lots of beautiful plants. Everything is kept neat and clean. There is a friendly crew, and the place is nice and quiet. There are also lots of walking paths.

Inside the condos, the way they were decorated was very restful. The floor plan was great, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and any utensil or appliance you would need. It was very well kept. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer for the wet bathing suits and clothes.

This was a luau. It was absoluting amazing. We were able to see them pull the pig out of the pit. The mai tai's were on serving platters whereever you looked. There were appetizers, salads, and a wonderful buffet dinner. The rule of the luau is to eat until you are tired. There was a wonderful show with dancers and singing while we ate our dessert. There was coffee, water, and soda available. It was a wonderful experience. Pictures were taken with some of the dancers that you could purchase. These were very good quality. I have been to two other luaus and I enjoyed this one more than the others- the food was absolutely wonderful.
