Moreton Bay

A September 2004 trip to Moreton Island by Mel.S

Quote: When going from Brisbane to Moreton Island, come with your car for long drives on the beach or take a drive up to the lighthouse. There are clear blue oceans and amazing shipwrecks to explore-a great place to snorkel or dive.
Arriving at Moreton Island, you are greeted by friendly staff and hungry pelicans waiting to be fed by the staff. During the day you have to choose from long walks on the beach, boat rides to the shipwrecks, or motorised buggy rides. The resort itself has two pools, basketball courts, a playground for kids, a bar, an all-you-can-eat restaurant, and a cafe. During the afternoon you can sit at the bar and enjoy one of many cocktails while watching the sunset over the beautiful ocean. Around 6pm is when the wild dolphins come in for a feeding. This is when you get a chance to feed the dolphins and get your picture taken.
