The mountainous pine forests and the beautiful turquoise blue water that surround Fethiye create a magical spell that lures you into this developing modern town and tourist centre. During the day, explore an ancient crusader castle and visit the Lycian rock-cut Tomb of Amyntas or rent scooters and discover for yourself hidden swimming areas and trekking trails. The yacht marina is the home to many boats and water taxis that lead tours to the surrounding islands where you can snorkel and SCUBA dive. The gorgeous lagoon of Ölüdeniz, with its sandy beach and alluring blue water, is only a short daytrip away.

In the evening after a day of adventures, meander along the lighted harbour promenade and through the winding cobble stone streets of Old Town. The lively night scene is host to many café bars, restaurants, shops, and discos. As you slowly make you way back to your hotel or pension, stop at the recently restored amphitheatre and watch the sunset and maybe enjoy a romantic evening kiss with someone special. Fethiye is a place where small-town pleasantries have not been overshadowed by the tourist industry. Instead they live side-by-side, complementing each other.
