Best Things Nearby:
The resort is located within the Lakes region of the state. It is situated on the shoreline of Pelican Lake, and no matter which way you drive from there, you will see lakes all around you. We visited in late September and enjoyed the fall foliage. An interesting day trip is to Itasca State Park to view the headwaters of the Mississippi River.

Best Things About the Resort:
Breezy Point is located in the part of the state known for its lakes, so depending on the time of year, many different water activities are available.

The resort has two golf courses on site, which are not crowded and are quite user-friendly. Early morning walkers can find some beautiful scenery on a stroll from hole 10 through 18 on the course located at White Birch.

Resort Experience:
Breezy Point Resort is located near the community of Pequot Lakes in north-central Minnesota. The resort is quite large, encompassing several hundred acres and located in at least three different locations around and near Pelican Lake. Breezy Point has several different timeshare condominium accommodations, including Breezy Point International, Breezy Point Timeshare, and White Birch.

Our accommodations were at White Birch. We were assigned unit number 880, located along the 18th fairway of one of the two golf courses on the Breezy Point property. Our unit sits almost halfway from the tee box to the green and affords us a perfect view of tee-off all the way to the final approach shot to the green. The building we are in is a four-plex, with two units up and two units down. We are in the upper left unit, as seen from the parking area. From the look of the layout of this building, the unit we have is probably the biggest. Our unit has two levels, with the master bedroom and bath on the upper floor and the second bedroom and bathroom, living room, kitchen, and dining room on the main level. We have two outdoor decks, one on each level and both with great views of golf and the surrounding area. The view beyond is woodsy with lots of trees and sky.

There is a gas/log fireplace located in the living room. Although it has a blower, it seems mostly ornamental. As far as keeping in touch with the outside world, there is an internet-connected computer next to the registration desk in the office. There is no charge for using it. Hooking up through telephone lines is more difficult as the local calling area is very limited, so you may not have a good number through your internet service provider.

To load up on supplies for your trip, I would suggest stopping in Brainerd or Baxter, where numerous larger markets and stores can be found. Beer, wine, and distilled spirits must be purchased in liquor stores.

The resort offers a good deal to timeshare owners and exchangers for golf. The price for unlimited golf for the week is $110, plus $65 for the cart for the week.

If antique hunting is in your blood, then a stop in Crosby is a good bet. They have at least nine shops in town. We thought the stock was good and the prices fair.

There is so much to do in this state, depending on when you visit. You can ice-skate, ride a snowmobile, and ice fish in winter, or water ski in the summer, and hike and golf just about anytime of the year. The state has developed several multi-use lengthy, scenic trails for public enjoyment.
