Best thing to do in San Francisco is to get around. See the Golden Gate Bridge, SF MOMA, Fisherman's Wharf, Palace of Fine Arts, and a whole lot of other places. Since California is a fusion of cultures, restaurants with specialties from all over the world can be visited in San Francisco.

Quick Tips:

Don't forget to bring a light jacket or sweater when you go around San Francisco. The wind can be chilly, especially during the late afternoons.

Restaurants require a 15% gratuity for service rendered.

Best Way To Get Around:

Renting a car is the best way to go around since public transportation can take a very long time when you want to go to a certain destination. The BART and Caltrain routes are easily accessible on major thoroughfares. Trolley shuttles can get you to most tourist destinations at a minimal fee.

They serve the best Chinese food in Chinatown. Whenever my boyfriend and I crave Chinese food, we go to R& G Lounge in Chinatown.

We always order their Seafood and Bean Curd Soup, R&G Beef-cooked in the chef's specialty sauce, and Seafood Fried Rice and Prawns with Honey Walnuts - these are absolutely the best. The servings are big and family style, and the price is very reasonable when you want good food.

Visiting the SF MOMA is really amazing. I had the chance to see different forms of modern art featured at the museum. Paintings, photos, portraits, and sculptures by contemporary and modern artists can be seen.

Also available is a listening tour. The musuem staff will lend you a headphone for a fee, and you can listen to guides as you walk around inside. A musuem shop for souvenir items is available at the ground floor, as well as a coffee shop when you want to sit and relax.

At the suggestion of a friend, we drove to Half Moon Bay last Sunday. Located just a few miles from San Mateo County, Half Moon Bay State Beach was an amazing sight. The lovely waves that form in the water are a surfer's paradise. The grounds are designed in such a way that both daytime visitors and overnight campers can enjoy the stunning view of the beach. A lot of families have picnics and barbecues. Barbecue grills are provided near the wooden tables and benches that are scattered along the site. It was nice to walk in the sand along the beach and take pictures, but swimming in the water might be too cold for anyone. The sea breeze that blows into one's face is gentle and calming. The Sunday morning I spent there will be etched on my mind forever, and I'm sure to come back whenever I need a welcome respite.
