A terrific get away in the sun: beaches, pools, restaurants. Very relaxing for us.

Best Things Nearby:
Beaches, pools, restaurants. There are lots of boats to arrange a fishing trip.

Best Things About the Resort:
Staff was very accomodating. We used the pools every day, even after spending time at the beach. Daily linen exchange.

Resort Experience:
The resort is laid out so that you have easy access to the beach and the pools. The beaches are private, and you can rent two very comfortable chairs and an umbrella for $10 a day. You do need a car to get around. Morehead City is near by and you can take boat taxis to nearby islands.

We liked it so much that we ate there twice. The seafood is very fresh. The shrimp scampi is out of this world, and the service was very good.

Cape Lookout National SeashoreBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "To Cape Lookout"

We started the tour in Morehead City and the trip to Cape Lookout was about 15 minutes by speedboat. We were then shuttled to the "Mule" (a pickup truck) that took us over to the other side of the island. We rode over a sand road and the driver would stopped 2 times to give us interesting facts about the island. We got to the beach where we were the only group to enjoy that beautiful water, which was much more calm at the beach at the resort, and we were able to pick up as many shells on the shore as we wanted.
