Business Trip to Mexico City

A September 2004 trip to Mexico City by travelfriendly

Since this was business we didn't sightsee at all, but we did have a great stay at the Sheraton Maria Isabel hotel. It is conveniently located next to the U.S. Embassy in a nice part of town. Also had a lovely dinner at the Villa Maria.

We were in the tower portion. Not inexpensive, but wonderful service.

The concierge was very helpful. Transportation obtained by the hotel was always reliable. The business center was adequate. Wireless in-room internet access was available.

Accommodations worth the price based on location and quality of room and service. Located next door to the American Embassy.

Restaurant

The Villa Maria is in a nice part of town and has a local atmosphere that is part of the fun of being in Mexico.

The menu has a large array of Mexican fare from Queso Fundido to the more exotic Chiles Enogadas, a hard-to-find favorite, and they have live music throughout the evening.

Nothing quick about the service, but that is sort of what I've found in Mexico. Order a tequila, sit back, and enjoy.
