Pembroke Pines is one of the fastest growing cities in the United Sates. The western edge borders on the great Everglades. It is a quiet town but only a few minutes drive away from the action of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

The best way to get around this city is by driving. There is public bus service to most of the major roads and destinations.
This is a 10,000 sq ft villa located on 2.5 acres of beautifully landscaped land that has a Polynesian ambience. This mansion has 6 bedrooms each decorated in its own motif. It is set back from the world and is walled with a gated entrance. This getaway has a private sauna and botanical garden. The villa can accommodate up to 12 guests and the price is between 70 - 120 dollars per night, per guest.

La Esquina De TejasBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant

La Esquina De Tejas provides, in my opinion, the best Cuban cuisine you can get besides home cooking! If you've never experienced Cuban cuisine you need to stop here and enjoy the best life has to offer. My favorite dish is masas de puerco or pork chunks. These are boneless chunks of pork marinated in a citrus sauce called mojo, then fried. This meal is completed by adding rice and black beans and maduros (sweet plantains). Finish off your meal with Cuban coffee and some Tres Leches (Hispanic sweet milk dessert). Just tell them Ana sent you!

Piatta's Cucina ItalianaBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Piatta's Restaurant"

This is the restaurant that my husband and I choose to eat at when in the mood for Italian. The quality of the food and the price are unbeatable. They offer the traditional Italian dishes and pizza. My favorite dish is the chicken parmigiana. It is a huge chicken breast lightly breaded and then fried. It is served with your choice of pasta. They also have a variety of specialty pizzas that are wonderful. The only problem I have with this restaurant is choosing what to eat.

Grand Palms Golf & Country Club : Golf Course MaintenanceBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Grand Palms Golf and Country Club"

This golf course is well maintained and can be challenging even to an experienced golfer. I play 18 holes here every other week for over 3 years and I still have not mastered this course. You will enjoy a leisurely day of golfing at Grand Palms.

Sawgrass MillsBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

This mall has over 270 brand name discounters, retail outlets and manufacturer outlets. It also has 2 food courts and 3 restaurants. There is also a new addition called The Oasis. The Oasis has a Hard Rock Cafe, Ron Jon Surf Shop , a movie theatre and other family attractions and games. You could spend a whole day at the Sawgrass Mills and still never see it all. You will also get a good work out and work up a good hunger to tackle all the fine restaurants available in the area.
