Orlando is one our favorite destinations. It can be a family-oriented vacation or just a weekend trip for the couple. There are many family parks to choose from: Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, and not too far from Busch Gardens, need I say more?

Overview

For couples, the best time to visit is in October. It is less crowded and the weather is cooler for those days waiting in long lines at the amusement parks. They have the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. This is highly recommended for the whole family, but probably not small children. Zombies, some with chainsaws roam the park. There's a Mardi Gras style parade of the "dead". Most of the rides are open, too. It's nice to get spooked, especially on Halloween Horror Nights at Universal.

Quick Tips:

You can save money by purchasing a two-day pass for Universal Studios. Unfortunately, Halloween Horror Nights is paid separately and not part of the promotion.

Best Way To Get Around:

They have shuttles that leave resorts to go to the various parks, but a car is recommended.

We stayed here during the New Year's Eve weekend, and there were so many parties going on at the restaurants located in the hotel that we did not need to venture out, looking for something to do on the Eve. This is a very nice hotel, with atrium views of Floridian themes from the balcony or patio of your hotel room. The atrium views are better than the outside courtyard views. Request a room with an atrium view. The rooms are well-decorated, depending on the theme of your room's location. Very nice and clean. The pool area is huge. If you don't mind splurging some big bucks on a luxurious hotel room, this one we highly recommend.

We highly recommend this restaurant to all buffet lovers out there. If you love to eat lobsters and all the different kinds of seafood entrees, this restaurant is for you. Just think...all-you-can-eat lobsters!! Of course, you have to request one each time you get to the buffet line, but hey there's plenty of time. It's become a family tradition for us on who can eat the most lobsters at one sitting. In our family, 12 is the most. Can you beat that?

Restaurant | "Angel's Lobster and Seafood Buffet"

If you love seafood and especially lobster, this is a great buffet place for you. Prices are less than $25 a person, and you can eat all the lobsters you want. Too bad you can only get one each time you go to the buffet line, but it's worth coming back for more.

The other items on the buffet are pretty good, typical seafood entrées and pastas. We've been here multiple times, and each time the crab legs haven't been worth trying. When you do plan to go here for dinner, try to avoid times between 5 and 7pm. Those seem like the busiest times. We've been there as early as 4pm, and it's busy because they offer coupon discounts for seating before 6pm.

Premium Outlet MallBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

If you love shopping at outlets and love designer brands, this is the best shopping outlet in Orlando. It's worth shopping here. Whenever I'm in Orlando, this is my main shopping mall. Gucci, Bebe, Puma, French Connection, Armani Exchange, Fendi, and Banana Republic are there, just to name some of my favorites. Most of the time I see the clothes here that are still at their stores. So if you know what they normally cost, you'll be a smart shopper and find some deals here.
