We didn't get to Cozumel until later in the afternoon. We were supposed to visit Tulum, but unfortunately, our ship was delayed in arriving on time. When we left the Cayman Islands, the ship was searching for a fisherman lost at sea. We don't know if they ever found him, but we were stalled at sea for a long time. This was the reason for our delay at Cozumel.
When we got there, we rented a jeep and did our own tour of Cozumel. It's fun to do this anyway. We did our bargain shopping on the main strip. The locals are nice and fun to have conversations with. They all speak English, so there was no language barrier here. Overall, Cozumel is a great place to visit. Too bad we didn't get a chance to see Tulum. We will definitely be back.
