An October 2002 trip to Pensacola by lizdewar

We packed our car up with enough room left in the front seats only. Our dog had to ride in the passenger's lap the whole way.

McGuire's Irish PubBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant

McGuire's is a must in Pensacola. There is usually a wait, but it is worth it. The food is great, and the staff is friendly. They have a huge winelist as well. Sign a dollar and have them staple it to the ceiling.

Flounder's Chowder HouseBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Flounders"

Flounder's is on Pensacola Beach. Most of the restaurant is open, but there are some tables inside. There is a stage and dance floor outside. Walk 10 feet to the volleyball court and the beach. There is also a play area for kids. Try a Diesel Fuel!

The barbecue here is almost as great as North Carolina's! This comfortable restaurant serves the best mouthwatering barbecued meat, ribs, and sandwiches in the area, complemented by the best tasting side items, salads, and desserts you have ever tasted.
