Best Things Nearby:This resort has to be one of the closest lodging options for the Opry Land Hotel and Resort. Also, the mall is nearby. If you want to be right where all the action is, I would make your reservation here!Best Things About the Resort:LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It's right there! Literally, you drive out of the resort and then, in less than half a block, you turn into the Grand Ole Opry/ hotel/mall parking lot! You can't beat their location, and, since its the only resort in Nashville, I guess thats a good thing! If you are exchanging into the resort with RCI or through Fairfield, have no doubts, you will LOVE this resort!Resort Experience:Fa...Read More

Alabama Grill

Restaurant

The restaurant is filled with memorabilia from famous country singers from all over the world and, of course, Alabama. The food is great and the atmosphere is even better! You have to eat here for one of your meals just for the experience. Right after you’re seated, you begin to scan the room and you see a country music fan's greatest collection of memorabilia, next to the actual Country Music Hall of Fame. The have everything from gold records to clothing and signed pictures on the wall. For a restaurant that makes you feel good, gives you something to look at, and great food, this place is top notch! Even if all you do is have a quick snack or a drink, you have to at least walk in and check this ...Read More

I liked that they took us arround the entire "tourist" area of Nashville as well as downtown. We got a LOT of information about the area, its culture and history. It was also very helpful in determining what to and not to do while we were there. The driver we had was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Nashville Zoo at Grassmere

As far as comparing the zoo to the other zoos I have personally been to around the country, I would have to say it's just average. The two major things that stand out, or stood out, for me were the Bamboo Trail and the Grassmere Home. If you have children, I think that it’s definitely a must-stop on the vacation list. Also, if you are looking for a way to kill a few hours, it makes for a great walk. One thing I must say that I haven’t seen at other zoos was their bat exhibit. I’m not that into bats, but it was neat to see.
