You must visit Sting Ray City and swim with the stingrays, it’s only in three feet of water. Take the Atlantis XI submarine trip it goes 100 feet under the water. Parasailing is great along with snorkeling at Rum Point. You must check out the homes, they are beautiful.

Quick Tips:

On your first day go to Big Hurley’s market and do some shopping. You will have to eat in some time as the food is highly priced. And the US dollar is only worth .75 cents per CI dollar. You will need to rent a car, and remember you drive on the left, it’s a blast....

Best Way To Get Around:

We found renting a car the best way. They have taxis, which get expensive. They have shuttles but when they take you into town they rush you. It’s better to spend more money and get a car. We rented a midsize car for 10 days for from the lady in the lobby of the resort.

Best Things Nearby:
Rum Point, you have to swim with the stingrays, it’s a once in a lifetime experience. In Georgetown you must take the Atlantis submarine which goes 100 feet under the water. The view is excellent.

Best Things About the Resort:
Five pools, beach front room, great beach.

Resort Experience:
We had a great time playing the newlywed game and name that tune. The never-ending pool was excellent. A little far from everything else, 45 minutes from Georgetown. We didn’t like that we had to pay for our own electric, and I believe that they should have more activities during the day and maybe a show or two at night.

Lobster was excellent, small dining area, but beautiful tables outside right on the water. The waitstaff was very helpful and very good. It's a night out, they don’t rush you, and you can enjoy the Latin music.

They will come to your resort and pick you up in a Lexus. The food was excellent. I recommend the steak and fried lobster dish. The desserts were unbeatable.

They have all types of food, I highly recommend the New Zealand lamb chops, they are to die for. Breakfast is a little expensive and they don’t give too much in the morning. Great drinks, mudslides, Cayman calardos. Michelle and Donavan are the bartenders and are very helpful and fun.

From Rum Point you can snorkel -- the water is wonderful. There are also many things to do there; they have many trips from there to Stingray City (a must). You can have lunch there outside, which was very good and very inexpensive.

Attraction | "STINGRAY CITY"

From Rum Point you take a 10-minute boat trip on a glass bottom boat, you arrive at Stingray City in the middle of the ocean. But it is a sand bar and is only 3 to 31/2 feet deep. You can either just stand and pet the sting rays or snorkel with them also. They are so much fun. You can even feed the some frozen squid, which they eat write out of you hand. After that you go to coral reef and the snorkeling is wonderful

Stingray City Trips
Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

The trip cost US $89 per person, we were lucky enough to win two tickets at the resort. The sub holds around 55 people, it goes 100 feet under the water. You see the beautiful coral reefs, a ship reck and wonderful fish and turtles. It last around one hour. Just beware that there is no toilet on board so be prepared!!!! We went during the day but they also have a nighttime dive that they say is beautiful.

Go to Hell
You must go to Hell. It is small and only has two or three little shops.. You have to go to the post office; there is a clerk there that dresses up like the devil. He says corny things like how the hell are you, where in hell are you going. But the best feature is behind the post office are black coral rocks that really looks likes it is Hell. It’s a scary sight. Won’t take more than 30 minutes from start to finish. I send cards from there and the postmark is Hell, Grand Cayman Islands. Just put down ‘wish the hell you were here’.

Attraction | "LAYING AND SWIMMING ON THE BEACH"

The water in the Cayman Islands is a light green in color, just the way I love it. The beaches are very nice. There was a little extra rocks in the water due to Hurricane Charley hitting some of the island but they say it isn’t usually like that. Snorkeling is wonderful. The Morritts Tortuga resort has the fifth best snorkeling in the islands, I read that in one of the books...
