A July 2004 trip to Kinshasa by Markvh

I've been in Kinshasa for two days and since I've been in love with Afrika!

If you can get inside the Palace of President Kabilla, take your chance! The Markets are also very charming, as is a trip at the side of the Congo stream. There are many nightclubs you can visit in Kinshasa.

Quick Tips:

There are lots of corrupt policemen in Kinshasa, but if you give them a tip to get rid of them, they will come back and back for more with stupid excuses. Never ever go out on the streets alone by night!!! You will get yourself killed.

Best Way To Get Around:

Travel in group by car, best to take a taxi.

It's like every nightclub in black Africa: lots and lots of beautiful African prostitutes and a few white men that enjoy themselves. It has a nice atmosphere and a lot of dancing, but drinks are expensive! It's situated about 200 meters from the Memling Hotel.
