The Sheraton's Desert Oasis resort describes itself as a setting of unparalleled splendor and it lived up to its claim. We had a one bedroom unit which sleeps 4, and it had a full kitchen. The unit was a reasonable size, but it would have been tight if the four adults on our trip had intended to stay indoors for lengthy periods of time. The room was cheerfully decorated in a South Western theme, and we were fortunate enough to have a ground floor unit steps away from the pool, spa, and gym (allowing us to swim or workout before most people were up and around!)
The waterfall in the pool is a calming touch and did wonders for our sore shoulders after long days of golfing. The facilities also have BBQs scattered throughout the premises which we took advantage of when we wanted to eat in.
Many people have recommended the local Walmart which is a full serve grocery store - my only suggestion is to get directions before you leave as most buildings in Scottsdale are the same terracotta colour.
It is a long day trip to the Grand Canyon but well worth the drive.
