The hotel was opposite the city park, close to shopping centres and the main railway station. The location was handy for exploring the city and checking out the nightlife. (We found an Aussie bar!) The room was adequate, although not large by Australian hotel standards. (need a short tailed cat to measure this room.) Typical of most hotels, there was room for one suitcase on a stand, the other needed to be placed on the writing desk. The lift was odd, having no internal door. However, it seemed to work well enough, although we tended to use the stairs to get to the room. (We needed the exercise!)
Room temperature and bedding was slightly on the warm side of ideal. Seems that many hotels are designed to cater for a snowy winter, and it was reasonably warm when we were there.
Meals were excellent. A good 3-course meal for dinner and a wide selection for breakfast. Continental breakfasts do not do much for us, so it was nice to have a variety of cereals and yogurts available.
A tramline went down the street outside our window. It seemed to be a reasonably regular service and a little noisy at first. However, it was not noisy enough to disturb our sleep and the bed was quite comfortable. Check-in and checkout were both handled efficiently.
I would recommend this hotel as being both comfortable and well positioned for exploring Innsbruck.
