There are many things to do in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge.

Gatlinburg can be both a romantic getaway or a great family fun vacation. There are so many things for young children to do, especially in Pigeon Forge. I did all the kids fun things as a child, and now my wife and I just enjoy renting a romantic cabin in the mountain and walking the downtown area and enjoying the unique shops.

We honeymooned in Gatlinburg 27 years ago and renewed our vows on our 25th anniversary at the Sugarland Wedding Chapel on the Parkway.

Our children grew up vacationing in Gatlinburg and I am sure will continue the family tradition for years to come.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Traffic in Gatlinburg can be slow to say the least, however the city has added new parking garages and the 25-cent trolley is a good way to get around. We tend to either stay in a motel on the strip so you can walk to everything or if we stay in the mountains, just drive to a parking garage or lot and then walk. Over the years we have discovered a few little known shortcuts that have been a major help.

Restaurant

Do not miss going to this Restaurant. I have been eating here on vacations for the past 41 years. There is none better.

Do not be scared off by the long lines waiting to get in...... there is a reason for this...... it's the great breakfast!

The best pancakes you will ever eat. I personally recommend the French Toast with cinammon cream syrup!

Once you eat here, it will become a tradition that you will repeat year after year.
