Best Things Nearby:
Barefoot Landing and the Barefoot Resort Golf courses.

Best Things About the Resort:
Nice views of the courses. Rooms are nice. Kitchen is well equipped.

Resort Experience:
We experienced problems the minute we arrived. The front desk claimed that they didn't receive a reservation for us from the owner, which doesn't make sense, since they were the ones to alert the condo owners (who did not reach us to warn us). We had to stay in a different room the first night, which was not as nice as the one we were supposed to stay in. We were moved the next day. This room was very nice; however, the second bedrooms in these condos are very small -- not enough room for two people and their things. My husband and I were cramped for the week. You'd think they could take a little space from the large master bedroom to adjust this!

Mid week, we realized that we were not getting any form of maid service. We had to remove our own trash and launder our own towels, which was apparently arranged by the owners without alerting us. This was apparently the reason we were able to stay cheaply, but it would have been nice if the staff had alerted us so we were aware. I do not think we'll be staying here again -- back to Pawley's Plantation next time!

My husband and I went here for lunch on our last day. We had a great lunch; we both had cheeseburgers. I had a salad while he had french fries, go figure. This building is really neat just to walk into. It's shaped like a pyramid, and you walk down into it. The memorabilia is fun to look at, as it is in all HRCs. The server was very courteous and prompt, but it also wasn't crowded while we were here!

We stopped in for happy hour and had such a good time with the waitress/bartender that we stayed for dinner. She was prompt, friendly, and helpful. She was giving us ideas of what to do . . . once the rain let up that is. The happy hour included great prices on appetizers, so that's what we had for dinner. We had the wings and nachos, both of which were really great. The nachos were nice and spicy!! The wings were not too fried, if that makes any sense.

My husband and his friend play golf while us girls ride along. This is a beautiful course. The men said it was challenging but not totally frustrating. We had a lovely day at this course.

It's conveniently located near Barefoot Landing, which has many choices for restaurants and shops. So you can make a day of it!

Our day at this course was not as enjoyable as others. This course is not in great shape, although the fee was reasonable. The course is in poor shape. This was not a fun day.

The men went and played this course without us girls. They had a great time. We've gone to this course before, and it's very scenic. The course is kept beautifully and the facilities are good.

This course is different than most of the courses we've been to in Myrtle Beach. I guess it's more Scottish. ;) It's also a bit older, but quite charming. The only complaint we had was that the greenskeeper seemed to be following us on the mower for a few holes. The beverage cart girl on this course was very very pleasant and seemed to show up just when we needed a beer! The men said this was quite a challenging course but still fun!
