The whole island is perfect. It was the first time I went on vacation and actually forgot about what was going on at home.
Make sure to travel the whole island. Every beach has something different. On our first day we took a trip to the Na Poli Coast, which is a must see. We went with Kauai Sea Tours and signed up for Scuba Diving, which was great. The pictures you see of the Na Pali Coast on postcards is nothing when you see it in person.
We also did the Zip Line Tour with Kauai Outfitters. You start out with a 2 mile kayak trek down a jungle stream where you get off and enter the jungle for a short walk to a small rope swing. Then walk to your lunch site. You get to eat lunch at the base of a waterfall and then zip line across the river. After lunch you head for the big waterfall where you climb a ladder and swing from a rope 20 ft. into the air and land in the water. It was great!
Quick Tips:
Travel to find the beach that fits you. Some are quiet and you are the only one on the beach. Others are busy with adults and kids.
Best Way To Get Around:
Driving is the best way to see everything. We stayed up north and needed a car to get to everything we wanted to do.
