As I was working most of the time while there, I can't say what the sightseeing highlights might be, there is a very good nightlife in Sao Paulo with many clubs offering very good live music and dancing.

Quick Tips:

Best suggestion if staying downtown is to be careful in going anywhere alone. Downtown is not a safe area after nightfall so if going out, take a taxi. I found the Brazilians to be a very friendly people and even though there may be a language barrier, they will do whatever they can to help you out.

Best Way To Get Around:

Best way to get around is by taxi. They drive very crazy there so I would not recommend renting a car!

Although this hotel has seen better days, the accommodations were good and offered quite a few restaurants on site with a nice variety. I would say the best part of the hotel is the gym and the separate men’s and women’s steam room/sauna facilities. Massages are also offered on site and very reasonable. The Brazilians really know how to relax!
