Quote: My boyfriend, Kevin, and I decided to take a journey to elusive Anaheim, CA, to get away from our bosses and the "Frisky Kitty" (San Fran). This journey was a tricky one however. Seeing I grew up about an hour from "The Promised Land", my parents would be close by.

We sucessfully smoked two joints in the Magic Kingdom, it was a bit sketchy. The best place for that is in Frontier Land in the smoking area right between Big Thunder Mountain and the lake. Quick Tips: I'm from So Cal, so we got cheaper tickets, and we did recieve free tickets to return to California Adventures within 30 days... but we couldn't use them. Best Way To Get Around: We stayed at a hotel right across the freeway from Disneyland, we could have walked. HOWEVER, there was plenty of walking to be done once in the magic land, so we took a trolley. These trolleys stop by a bunch of hotels in the area and will pick you up and take you right to D-land, very clever and fun. Y...Read More

The hotel was awesome and cheap. The pool was open 24 hours. This is a number one priority. Since we got in at about midnight, and we were so excited, we didn't want to sleep. Right into the jacuzzi we went.

We sat outside and it was warm (unlike SF nights), food was really good, We had a turkey burger that was awesome. Downtown Disney is a great place to people watch, and the beer was flowing.

Disneyland is not just for kids (my crazy 95-year-old uncle says otherwise). Don't get me wrong, I'm not a crazy Disney person (no offense). I just grew up around there and have been at least once a year for my life. Kevin had only been to Disney World, which pales in comparison - you have to walk too far to get anywhere.

We went in the Pirates of the Caribbean frenzy, and it was great to see all the kids with swords and wanting to be Johnny Depp. I think we went on the ride several times, it never gets old.

We ate way too much...churros, popsicles, frozen lemonade....and the illustrious PICKLE....best part by far.
