Quote: The Annual Krinos Taste of the Danforth August 2004, modeled on the "Taste of Chicago" as a celebration of Hellenic cuisine and culture. Try the tastes of GreekTown, like souvlaki on a pita, gyros, spinach and pie, and baklava. Three stages, a midway, and two beer gardens add to the experience.

http://www.embrujoflamenco.com/ Live Flamenco shows are presented Thursday thru Sunday. We went to the second sitting on a Saturday night. The show was very close to the tables so you got a really good view. I had hoped that the flamenco would be more vibrant, hotter, sexier, but it was tame and seemed somewhat uninspired. The dancers were talented. The food was excellent. We had tapas and our friends had paella. We all shared what the others had ordered. There was plenty of food. The show was free but there was a minimum price to be paid for your dinner. We had Sangria and a bottle of wine. The deep fried potatoes in a spicy tomatoe sauce, "Patata Brava", was VERY hot, pica...Read More

It is a small midway but fun for small children. Teenagers would not be allowed on the rides as they would be too tall and the rides too tame. If my children were small, I wouldn't attend this event for the rides but they make a nice diversion for the young ones.

There was a demonstration of trampolinists who had competed provincially and nationally. It had started to spit rain so we didn't stay long. There was a good view, even with the crowds.

Beautiful day. There were some shady spots. There was recorded music playing until 1:30 when the Greek band came on to play. There was a beautiful fountain, trees, and baskets of flowers to enjoy. You really didn't feel like you were sitting in the street, but in a park or patio garden. It was very relaxing. Some people brought the food they had bought from the street vendors and at it sitting comfortably at a table. Recommended. The beer was COLD but they only served Amstel Light. Go figure! Amstel Light Gardens Logan and Danforth at the Main Stage Jones and Danforth Come and sit back and enjoy a Amstel Light beer and take in some great entertainment. The follow...Read More

Small diversion really. There was quite a lineup so we just watched. People seemed to enjoy participating. It was free. Pepsi was one of the sponsors.
