Summers Bay Resort

Besides the area's usual theme parks, we used Summers Bay Resort as a home base for our other excursions. Clearwater beaches were only an hour and a half away. They were well worth the drive. Truly an awesome area, one we will consider going to again. Cocoa beach was very disappointing. The beaches were not attractive, so we only stayed 1 1/2 hours.

If in the Oralndo area and tired of the Disney and Universal scene, we would highly recomend a visit to Old Town. It is on 192 and about 10 minutes away from Summers Bay resort. Even our 16 year old son loved it.

We would also recomend a trip to Gatorland.

Best Way To Get Around:

Seems to me the best way to get around is by car. It's a short distance to many attractions, but a car is still a must. Be prepared for lots of traffic.

Very spacious, clean, and well appointed. Location is excellent, close to all the area's main attractions. Even on the days you might take off from visiting the theme parks, you'll find there is plenty to do at this resort.

Resort Experience:
Our condo was very well appointed. They had everything we could need during our stay. Also, around the main pool, they have a tiki bar with anything you could ask for. Even on our days off from the area attractions, there was plenty to do right here at the resort.
