Quebec Trip!!!

Overview

Quote:
You must go to Old Quebec City! With its cobblestone roads and historic buildings, it's such a beautiful city. There's a mall that has a whole amusement park in it! It's huge, and has lots of stores!

Quick Tips:

Bring lots of money! You'll be tempted to spend lots in the beautiful stores!

Best Way To Get Around:

You can walk, drive, there are taxis, and public buses. You can get around by any means.

The accommodations were nice, just your run-of-the-mill hotel. Rooms were nice - two comfy double beds and TV. They do have an outdoor pool and offer continental breakfast. It is close to shops and a few fast food resturants.

Canyon Sainte-Anne

Attraction | "Cayon Sainte-Anne"

Location - 5 min from Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica. - 25 min from Quebec City.

This is not to be missed! This is a HUGE waterfall, with paths all around - and over - it! You can walk across one of the suspension bridges - 180 feet (60m) high - that's over the wonderful waterfall! It is very creepy, but a must do (even if you're afraid of heights - like me!) There are lots of lookoffs. Includes: restaurant, gift shop, picnic areas, handicapped friendly and free parking. Entrance fee required. www.canyonste-anne.qc.ca This is not to be missed!

* in the small sitting area (this is in Old Quebec City)
** kids 10 and under free. Prices are Canadian and include GST and PST.

We took the tour in French, and for us French Immersion people for 3 years, it was a bit hard to understand. Our guide of our own trip translated it for us as the ghost guide went on walking. This tour is offered in Français, English, and Espanol. It was very interesting (from what we understood) and the city was very beautiful at nighttime.

Quebec Funicular

Attraction | "Quebec Unique Funicular"

This is an elevator that takes you from Quebec to Old Quebec in a minute or so. You can take the stairs or the elevator (we did both). The view from it is great - you see the Vieux-Port de Quebec or the harbour. It's a great little experience! *It's close to the Chateau Frontenac
