New York City has endless possibilities!

Summer In NYC

Overview

Check out the American Museum of natural history and the MET. They are across Cental Park from each other and the casual museum goer can spend the whole day between the two.

Quick Tips:

Staying in midtown allos easy access to all of the city. Some people prefer the feel of the Village but if you are based in midtown you can get anywhere in Manhattan fast.

Best Way To Get Around:

Subway. Buy a Metrocard with unlimited uses for a week (around ). Use taxis after midnight to avoid long waits for infrequent trains.
Excellent location. Heart of midtown. Swissotel had excellent service. Rooms were a nice size and QUIET! I will return. Walking didtance to Central Park and major shopping.

Sparks Steakhouse

Restaurant

Awesome filet mignon and beef scallopini. Excellent wait staff. A great experience. Go to Sparks expecting very good food with an EXTENSIVE wine collection. I would go back again and again.

La Goulue

Restaurant

Food and service at La Goulue was excellent. The food is of the caliber of fine dining without the usual stuffy atmosphere. Reservations are recommended. The prawns were great! If you like French food, go to La Goulue.

Great museum for children and adults alike. You could spend several days and not see it all. Be sure to check out the Hayden Planetarium while your there. It is worth it.

Mets Baseball

Experience

Go to a Mets game in Queens! It is fun for all and doesn't have the "tourist" feel of Yankee stadium. You can take the 7 train from Grand Cental Station all the way to Shea Stadium. Trains run heavy during games, so you can always find one coming or going. Great experience. Spring for the good seats near the field. It's worth it.

Broadway

Experience

Buy discounted tickets for that days shows at the TKTS booth in Times Square. This is a great way to see discounted musicals and plays. Bring cash! No credit cards accepted. Show up early for the best selection.
