Check out the local bar scene at Hennessey's - an Irish local pub; choose a dance floor at Jimmy's or grab a cocktail at the Office or the Palm Grill. There are quite a few colleges in the area so there are always people out.

Quick Tips:

Shopping at the Short Hills Mall (15 minute car ride)is a day event with stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Nieman Marcus, Versace, JCrew, Ann Taylor, Abercrombie & Fitch and traditional department stores. Have lunch at Joe's Bar & Grill or at Papparazzi.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking is your best bet, although for day trips to Philadelphia or New York, the train is your best bet. There is a direct train to the city that takes you to Penn Station in about an hour.
HQ Plaza is in the center of town and within walking distance of shopping, bars and restaraunts. Free gym passes at HQ Health Club - hotel is part of a small mall that also includes a movie theather and food court. Rooms are medium sized and are always clean. Ask about the brunch (awesome food) and will probably get tickets complimentary.

Restaurant

This BYO restaraunt has excellent pasta and seafood in large size portions. The pasta with duck is great and the hot or cold antipasta is a must. Bread is served warm and is always fresh. Pazzo Pazzo is a small sized place and fills up quickly. Dunring warmer months you can dine outdoors.

Restaurant

Excellent food and ambiance. Bar at entrance for waiting for table if necessary serves all top shelf alcohol. Happy Hour on Friday's in the summer is a must - candles and musicians make for a wonderful date or intimate gathering with friends. Food prices range from $6.00 appitizers to $30 entrees and they serve everything from pizza to seafood and pasta and meats. Pazzo Pazzo is very spacious and has a lot of seating so waits are not usually long. Service is prompt and friendly.
