View from our Balcony
We stayed in a Grand Luxury Oceanfront Room, and it was beautiful. The shower pressure and bathroom design was spectacular! There were no televisions in the rooms, but the balcony had a stunning view of the ocean and the rest of the resort. The king bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning was always very cool, and the housekeeping services were great. It was also very nice to have an in-room safe, and a vanity with a make-up mirror where you can sit to do your make-up.

Best Things Nearby:
There isn't much nearby, but everything you need for a fabulous vacation is within the resort.

Best Things About the Resort:
The public areas were beautiful, but the best thing about the resort was the service. The people in St. Lucia are the happiest, friendliest people I have ever met!

Resort Experience:
The Body Holiday's slogan is, "Give us your body for a week and we'll give you back your mind." With a spa service included for each day you are there, it's very easy to become totally relaxed. There are also classes all day long, including: sunset stretch, fencing, tai chi, and many others. They also did organized walks and bike rides each morning. The beach is fabulous, and the snorkeling on-site is really great. There are gorgeous flowers and foliage everywhere you look on the property - which is a feast for the eyes, but also attracts a lot of mosquitoes.

TaoBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant

The food at Tao was spectacular - especially if you like ginger. Most entrees and appetizers were seasoned with ginger, and even one ice cream used ginger as an ingredient. The best part of the meal was the chocolate souffle. As a guest of LeSport, many items from the menu are included in your package, but there is a surcharge for many of the better items. You do not have to be a guest of the resort to dine at Tao. Unfortunately, because it is an open air restaurant, you really need to wear insect repellant if you don't want to get eaten alive by mosquitoes!

The PitonsBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

The Pitons
The Pitons are a stunning landmark of St. Lucia. We didn't do the hike, which I've heard is treacherous, but we did go for a swim under the Piton Waterfall which was quite nice. It's a warm mineral pool that you reach at the end of a nice, short, leisurely rainforest hike.

Superman's FlightBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

School of Fish
There were huge numbers of small fish, and many, many schools of fish. However, we did not see any large sea creatures. The coral is beautiful, though.

Goat on the Road
DO NOT RENT A CAR IN ST. LUCIA!!!! Organized and escorted tours are the best way to see the sights. The roads are not marked well, and we ended up going all the way around the island instead of going straight to our destination. Although the beginning of the drive was beautiful, it was a VERY long day. And, the road at the south of the island is "under construction" - translation: it is a narrow dirt road with craters and very deep ditches everywhere. I'm pretty sure our rental car had many new dents and dings after our journey...
