Foster Family Defrost

An April 2004 trip to Puerto Vallarta by kdfdvf

We traveled to Puerto Vallarta for the first time for spring break. We stayed at Club Velas Vallarta all inclusive and we had a wonderful time.

Some of the best things to do are to take a tour of the city, especially the old city (for lovers). There are plenty of water sports to take part in. The beaches are not the best but you can still enjoy all of the activities. The party boats are fun activities - just be sure to verify that a boat is OK for children if you are bringing your family.

Quick Tips:

I learned that tipping your waitstaff a couple of dollars after they have served you a drink will help give you great service.

Best Way To Get Around:

The taxis in town are a very convenient and inexpensive way to travel around town.

Best Things About the Resort:
The service from the staff was outstanding. The ambience of the resort was wonderful. The landscaping and lush grounds were soothing and beautiful.

Resort Experience:
The resort is lush with plant life and streams that flow all around the property. The staff was friendly and polite, and seemed to really enjoy working there. The rooms were clean and spacious. The food was just o.k., but there was plenty of it. The pools were well maintained and always packed. Overall this resort was extremely well run and a very nice place to stay.
