The Warwick Hotel is a budget guesthouse located very close to Paddington Station, situated in a quiet London square.
When I was there, the hotel was a bit untidy in the reception and communal areas, on account of the fact that they were in the process of refurbishing the hotel.
The renovations should be complete by mid-August, and the rooms that I saw that had been redone were in a far superior state to the other rooms.
They had new, comfortable beds and carpets. These seemed much cleaner as well. Decor is basic, though, and not for those expecting luxury.
Most rooms are quite small and the bathrooms are very small, although this is common among budget hotels in London.
The staff are friendly and helpful, but all in all, I wouldn't expect that people staying here will spend too much time in the hotel and use it more as just a place to rest your head. It is in a really great location and prices can be as little as £50 for a double. Ask for the refurbished rooms when you book, and try to get a room at the front with a balcony.
