If you're a golfer, say no more! There are HUNDREDS of beautiful courses all over the island, and the guest services staff will help you choose the ones that are right for you! And if you SHOP- well, you've just found heaven! The outlets and specialty shops are some of the best- get there early and wear good shoes! And for evening entertainment, give some of the shows a try- we see the one at the Alabama theater every year- maybe cuz we're from Alabama, but it's also a wonderful show! And Broadway at the Beach, an entertainment complex with IMAX, aquarium, shops, restaurants, lake, boardwalk and restaurants is across the street from the resort. How handy is that?

Quick Tips:

Start the day early so you can get back to enjoy the most beautiful pool area, complete with snack bar, kid's pool and an indoor pool for bad weather days.

Hotel | "Sheraton's Broadway Plantation"

The units are clean, colorful and perfect for family fun and privacy. Two bedrooms and two baths give everyone room to spread out. Three TV’s, four phones, a well-stocked kitchen, VCR, stereo all make it like home. A lovely screened porch allows you to eat out on the patio and watch the ducks in the pond below. We visited in the fall and enjoyed listening to the high school band across the street practice in the afternoon for the weekend football game! We also love the huge pool with an indoor pool, the aquacise activities, a full workout room, volleyball, tennis, and a poolside bar and grill. The staff is great, there are movies to rent in the lobby and there's nothing that isn't done right!

This is your fun 50's diner, complete with singing waiters and waitresses- they even go outside onto the boardwalk and entertain. Plus, the food is GREAT! Burgers, fries, grilled cheese, good old diner food that tastes good when you're away from home- and across the street from the resort! Fun for the whole family! Try milkshake or float! Makes you feel like a kid again!

Another fun place at Broadway at the Beach- a live parrot outside gets your attention. So do the fun, tempting drinks they advertise- makes you feel like you're in the islands! Food is excellent, servers are helpful and friendly, place is clean and fun. Teriyaki chicken is super, there's lots of food, and it's convenient to the resort! Don't miss this one!

St. John's Greek FestivalBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Greek Festival"

This wonderful festival is held the last weekend in Sept. when we've been there, on the lawn of the church. It's a fundraiser for the church and they have games and the best Greek food you'll ever taste! That's redundant- I've never tasted Greek food at one of these festivals that WASN'T great! Anyway- it's a nice treat to take in the local culture while you're there- and they benefit from your contributions too. Check the date if you're going for that, but that's when we've been there.
