Welcome to Miami!

A September 2002 trip to Miami by stickman

What a place! It's so beautiful, hot, and busy! The culture here is amazing, mostly Spanish flavor, but you will find it all.

Best Things Nearby:
The beach is directly across the street here, and worth taking a few trips to. There are many amazing restaurants within walking distance. I have even seen basketball stars walking the streets like me!

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort's rooms are beautifully decorated, very modern and art deco. You feel posh when you arrive here. Valet parking awaits you, the the bellhop and doorman swoop down to escort you into the gorgeous lobby.

Resort Experience:
Let me say this upfront, I don't think South Beach is all that perfect for kids...but it’s perfect if you want to find some excitement with your better half. The resort is across the street from a clothing-optional beach. To reach it you have to simply cross the street, walk through a palm tree littered park, and hit the sand. The surf is a little rough, but lots of fun to play in. I got the best treats in the way of sunrise…grab a coffee and head up to the top floor where you can watch the sun rise over the ocean and through the same palm trees...I will never forget it!

Plan on spending some money here, because the restaurants can be somewhat expensive, but worth every cent. I had quite the thrill when I saw L.L. Cool J eating across the restaurant from me!
