Hotel | "Landmark Holiday Beach Resort"

THE LANDMARK HOLIDAY BEACH RESORT
Best Things Nearby:
The beach is the very best thing that is nearby. This is a beachfront property and it couldn't be any better than it is! Stores and shops are very close by, too.

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort is wonderful. We had stayed at a Holiday Beach property in Pensacola Beach last year and noticed how friendly the staff was and how eager they seemed to make our stay as wonderful as it could be. This resort was just as accommodating. It was delightful!!!

Resort Experience:
Our two-bedroom unit had just been updated prior to our stay. This included new furnishings, new carpet, and new cabinets. We would have liked a lower floor (we were on floor 11) but once we got used to it, the view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico was simply outstanding. The master bedroom had a queen bed and the other bedroom was furnished with two comfortable double beds. The unit was equipped with a washer and dryer and it was well used during our week's stay. The Landmark also has an indoor pool and it was kept at a perfect temperature. The resort exceeded our expectations.

Restaurant | "Spinaker"

SPINAKER
Spinaker is a wonderful seafood restaurant with the choice of eating outside with a beach view or inside in a nice dining room. There is a beautiful waterfall outside and a playground for the children. The seafood is well prepared and very delicious. We met two other couples for dinner at Spinaker and had a marvelous evening.

Attraction | "Swimming & Sand Castle Building"

SWIMMING & SAND CASTLE BUILDING
During July 4th, the beaches tend to be a little crowded at Panama City Beach. The sand is a bright white in color, the water is a perfect temperature, and very beautiful. It doesn't take much imagination to determine why so many people travel to Panama City Beach in the summer. It's the perfect destination for those who love the beach.

BEAUTIFUL SANTA ROSA ISLAND
We wanted to compare Panama City Beach and Pensacola Beach, so we got up one day and made a drive over to Pensacola Beach. We stopped at the National Seashore National Monument on Santa Rosa Island and walked on the beach. Panama City Beach was experiencing some green algae growth and the water there wasn't as clear as it usually is. We noticed right away that Santa Rosa Island wasn't experiencing that problem. The water was absolutely beautiful and the beaches weren't as crowded. We stopped in Pensacola Beach, and the crowds picked up and pretty much equaled those in Panama City Beach. The water, however, was perfectly clear with no algae problems.
JULY 4th FIREWORKS
We were invited to join our relatives at their rented townhouse on the evening of July 4th. We each took a "cool one" with us to the patio and experienced some of the most beautiful fireworks we have seen. The first fireworks began near the pier, which was about two blocks away from where we were seated. Then the ones at the restaurant next door began and we had up close and personal fireworks which we had to look straight up to experience. They seemed to go on and on and we stayed on the patio until the show was over. We had never been that close to a fireworks display before and it was quite an experience.
THE NAVAL AVIATION MUSEUM
On our way home, we stopped in Pensacola to make a return visit to the Naval Aviation Museum. On our first visit, we were not able to completely view all of the displays inside the museum. We had plenty of time and completed seeing them this time. It was a very enjoyable visit.
