Amsterdam in the Winter

A travel journal to Amsterdam by macguy

Amsterdam in the winter is a different place than the tourist-infested summer months.

My favorite activity is chatting with people in cafes and enjoying the street markets.

Quick Tips:

Drinking beer at de Wildeman is, for me, an almost nightly tradation when I am in town. It's the best place in A'dam to get a fresh de Koninck.

Best Way To Get Around:

I walk and take the trams.

Attraction

This is the high temple of beer in the city of Amsterdam. It is a specialist beer cafe located on the site of an old brewery. There is always a selection of tasty beers on offer. The cafe is a member of ABT, a Dutch association of specialist beer cafes.

I'm a fan of triples and gueuze. Both can be found here.
