Beach Palace,, 1st visit to Cancun

We chose the Beach Palace without knowing any better. The pictures made it look awesome. It is in the middle of the Zona Hotelera, so if you're into shopping and nightlife, it probably is the best place. But we moved within hours to the Xpuha. That place was magical.

Overview

Choose a different hotel than the Beach Palace if this is your first time in Cancun. This resort shouldn't be considered a gold crown RCI resort. It is old (15+ years), and very small. The room smelled mildew-y. For the all-inclusive rate, we would have felt cheated. We moved within 2 hours to the XpuHa resort. The best decision we made.

Room was a good size, and view was nice. The room smelled mildew-y. The mattress was very hard. It was just old. When we went to the front desk to move, they were not surprised. There was also someone there who was doing the same thing.
