Branson Fun

Overview

Quote:
Branson is very flashy and touristy, reminds me of a country themed Las Vegas. There is tons to do for all ages. The older folks enjoy the shows ranging from country music stars to comedy shows to acrobatic acts. There's lots to do for kids too: Amusement parks like Silver Dollar City, Celebration City and White Water. There's also evening activities for kids like go cart racing, bungy jumping, and miniature golf. Plenty to do for a week's stay for all ages.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

The main strip is pretty spread out, you will need a vehicle of some sort to get around.

Outback Steak & Oyster Bar

Restaurant | "Outback Steakhouse"

Quote:
This is an Australian-themed restaurant that even serves crocodile tail as an appetizer! This is not part of the Outback chain that you've eaten at across America. The atmosphere is great and the drinks are delicious. The food and service are fair. If you're looking for something more geared toward the kids or teens this is a good spot. If your looking for fine dining or great food, go elsewhere.

Wooden Nickel Restaurant

A friend of ours highly recommended this restaurant, so we had to try it during our latest drive out to Branson. Gotta say though, it didn't quite live up to the hype. We waited FOREVER to be seated, waited an eternity for our food to be served, and then ate food that was good, but cold. They are known for their steaks and truly they were pretty good, our visit was just spoiled by the bad service. If you decide to visit, hopefully you will have better luck than us.

If you are an avid amusement park attender, this park may not meet your standards. It has a few really great rides, but there are only a few of them. This is a great park for the four-state area if you don't want to drive to far to a St. Louis, Dallas or Kansas City. There are things to do for people of all ages, but your selection is somewhat limited: Young children not reaching major ride height requirements: There are a handful of kiddie rides including an old fashioned carosel, balloon ride, train ride, and kid's roller coaster. They have other activities for this age as well like a sand station, climbing/playing apparatus called Tom Sawyer's Landing, a multi-story nerf ball fun house, ...Read More

White Water

Attraction

Quote:
If you've ever visited the Ozarks in the summer, you are well aware that the heat and humidity can be ruthless. Thus, White Water is a great place to visit during your trip to Branson! This is a typical Water Park with the various heights and styles of slides, shoots, inner-tube rides, a lazy river, and a wave pool. The nice ice cream treats even reinforce the keeping cool theme. This was a great time for our family, especially if you are travelling with kids... Go For It!
