Great Key West Sunset
This was a great place to stay to experience the beauty of Key West! We stayed in a 2.5 bedroom condo that had all the amenities. It sported a nice kitchen, lots of space for family and friends, and featured the best view i've ever seen off the balcony just outside the living room. Each night we watched the gorgeous Key West sunsets right from our own balcony over Pina Coladas!

The service is exemplary, especially from the folks in the ownership department... they really took care of us and catered to our needs.

This place is the bomb. We loved it! My sister and her (now) husband own a timeshare here and visit every year. It is their personal vacation spot. The activities are plenty and fun... snorkeling, boating, sunset cruises, parasailing, or just hanging at the pool. The Galleon is a spectacular place to stay to enhance your Key West experience. These accommodations get a big thumbs up from our family!

Jimmy Buffett's MargaritavilleBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville"

This was a total disappointment. With all the anticipation---and singing the song---we thought this would be great food... it was average at best. My husband absolutely hated his meal. We ordered chili cheese fries as an appetizer and they were awful. i've had better from those hamburger huts on the corner. Seriously, don't waste your money, your time, or one of your great nights in Key West to go to this terrible restaurant!

Hard Rock CafeBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant

Good food, fun atmosphere! This was a great place to eat: good service, good eats, and lots of the things to look at that you'll find at most other Hard Rock Cafes in this restaurant chain. If you are looking for straight up American food and want to get away from the seafood and local cuisine, this is it!

Blue Heaven RestaurantBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Blue Heaven"

Blue Heaven is the best restuarant on the island! It may be in the backyard, in the dirt, with roosters and cats running around, but the food is top-notch! Any meal, breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food is unbelievable. The best dinner in my life was at this restaurant!

Tortugas IslandBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Trip to Tortugas Island"

Great water
First of all, be prepared for a LONG boat ride, sub-par food, and mediocre snorkeling. Everyone in my family got sea sick on the cruise out to the island. It was very choppy waters, the cruise is 2.5 hours EACH WAY, and thank god for nice people who shared their dramamine. This was a terrible experience... when they raffled a free ticket for another tortugas tour, we asked to not be in the drawing. NO thanks!

Key West AquariumBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

Just imagine touching a real shark! That's the kind of excitement you can have at this very cool aquarium. You can tour the many window displays of the various fish and sealife from the Keys and South Florida. Then on the guided tour you will learn about these incredible animals, watch the sharks feed, and even touch a small nurse shark! We got video of our 3-year-old touching the fin of this amazing animal! This is a fun activity to take your children to that isn't going to empty your wallet. It's a little dark and wet, but it enhances the atmosphere! Good time for families :)

Key West Artists at Mallory SquareBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Key West Artists"

Key West is a very artistic and cultural location to visit and explore. If you are looking to be educated on the history of Hemingway or view the many beautiful pieces of art by local artists, there are dozens of shops to view paintings, sculptures, candles, ceramics and glassware. And, I'm not talking about touristy type items...these are local artists works of art, most featuring the fabulous Key West sunsets. Enjoy many great afternoons of strolling along the main streets of downtown Key West viewing the beautiful artworks.

Conch Tour TrainBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "The Conch Train"

This is a great 'train ride' through time. They'll take you back to the days before civilization when fierce Indians left their enemy's bones to bleach in a tropical wilderness naming the island Bone Key. Explore a lush, tropical island, and discover the charm and grace of one of America's most unique architectural pleasures. Get to know characters like John James Audubon, Ernest Hemingway, and Harry S. Truman and, like them, become captivated by the magic that is Key West. You'll even stop at the ice cream shop for a single scoop cone or a refreshing lemonade to cool you off!

Rick's BarBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Rick's at night"

This place was all about hip-hop happening dancing! Leave the kids at the resort and have a night out with your man! This was a great time of good drinks, loud hip-hop music, and wild crowds. If you are looking for a happening place to go with a mate or to find a mate, this is it!

My husband and I went here one night and left the little ones with my sister at the resort. What a great night of dancing and drinking! This place is a fun bar with a pub, homey feel and has GREAT live music. We saw the band "Juiced," a mostly female band that rocked all night long. FUN FUN FUN TIME!

Ernest Hemingway Home and MuseumBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Hemingway House"

The Hemingway House was very cool! Inexpensive and you get a tour if you want. Take the tour! The guides are knowledgable! It is also home to the six-toed cats! REALLY! The have tens of resident cats too. A must visit.

Also the Key West lighthouse is nearby. Not only is it historic but it has a one-of-a-kind view! And it's located across the street from the Hemingway house! Save time, do both at once!
