Check out this great restaurant/lounge/bar in one of NYC's hottest neighborhoods.
Trust is definitely on the higher end of the sophistication chart. Everything here from the decor to the patrons is beautiful.
Trust has three sections; a bar, a lounge, and an elegant dining room. The minimal and chic decor allows you to relax while enjoying the great drinks and food.
I tried the Fried Goat Cheese Salad appetizer, which was incredible. Lightly breaded and fried goat cheese was served with yellow and red beets and mixed greens. It was light, yet decadent and satisfying.
To get back on track with my diet, I chose the Trust Vegetable Plate for my entree. It consisted of vegetables prepared three ways; grilled, steamed, and roasted. I had grilled corn and carrots, an assortment of roasted peppers, and fresh steamed baby asparagus with mashed potatoes. It was delicious!
My friend started with the Tuna Tartare served with mango, cucumber, and cilantro, and then tried the Grilled Sea Bass. Both were huge hits!
We ended our evening with a refreshing Green Apple Sorbet.
For those who don't want the evening to end, the lounge and bar can keep you occupied until the wee hours of the morning!
To find Trust, just wander down the north side of 13th Street and look for the large frosted windows and double doors. You'll see the menu posted in the window, but won't see a sign anywhere.
