One rainy day we visited the Owl's Head Transportation Museum, 2 miles south of Rockland. It is open year around and is home to a collection of antique aircraft, automobiles, motorcycles, carriages, bicylces and engines. It houses a full sized replica of the Wright Bothers's Kitty Hawk Flyer, which is shown here.
Another rainy day we went to the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland which is widely recognized as America's only museum dedicated to telling the story of Maine's role in the history of American art.
