A June 2004 trip to Boca Raton by wareville

The perfect vacation destination for families with kids. We stayed at the Ventura at Boca Raton with another family -- all together four adults and four kids under four years old. The resort was very kid-friendly and very convenient to the beach (right across the street).

We had a three-bedroom/three-bath shared between two families -- four adults and four kids under four years old. Plenty of room! Nice layout and clean upon arrival. My only recommendation would be a better housekeeping service. Fresh linens and towels were brought every day, but you have to change your own linens. We had to ask for trash bags and toilet paper mid-week. A complete clean of the condo mid-week would have been wonderful. Otherwise the service from the staff was great, videos available on-site to borrow for free, all the beach and pool toys you will need on-site. Beach/pool towels provided daily. Very family-friendly. Great grills on-site, convenient to everything.

Excellent, fresh food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Good beer at a good price. Good place for dining out with kids. Very convenient to Deerfield Beach Pier for a fun after-dinner stroll.

A fun experience as you take a boat to the restaurant which is within the Intercoastals. The restaurant has been around forever, and is a funky place with lots of history. The service and food are excellent, but get babysitter as it's a little pricey for kids and a long meal for them to sit through. Enjoy a drink on the patio along the waterfront.

Attraction

Really fun to do with the kids. Safari part is cool -- lots of animals roaming around your car. Nice to do on a hot day as the car is air-conditioned and the kids can get out of their car seats as you're only going about five miles per hour. Zoo park with the carousel, train and boat ride is neat, too. Make sure to look in the guide books for the $2 off coupon for everyone in the party.
