Quote: The weather was great; our room was nice and the view of the ocean outside our window was beautiful and relaxing. I loved lying on the windowsill and listening to the ocean. It was perfect for relaxing and everything was within walking distance, including shopping, eating, amusement park, and casinos.

Best Things Nearby:Casinos, great places to eat, shops all up and down the boardwalk. Steel Pier-Altantic city Amusement park, great for children and adults.Best Things About the Resort:The resort is in a great location right in the middle of everything, right on the boardwalk and a nice beach right across the broadway, when you come out the back door of the resort. Windows are large for a great view of the ocean and the windowsill is large and has a place to sit. You can open the window and be taken away by the sound of the ocean waves. When checking in, they ask if we wanted an ocean view, that was very nice. Resort Experience:The studio unit is nice, but s...Read More

Steel Pier Amusements

Attraction | "Steel Pier"

Quote:
The Steel Pier in an amusement park built on a boardwalk over the ocean. I find that exciting. The thought of riding on a roller coaster or doing the sling shot is even more fun when you are out over the ocean. It a place for the whole family to have fun. The park offers free performances of breathtaking stunts. John and Alexandra Nock ride a motorcycle on a high wire 60 feet above the steel pier in the summer (three times daily.) Go to the information station on the broadwalk for coupons. You can get a "$5 off" ticket booklet for rides.

The museum has the history of Atlantic City. As a first time visitor, I enjoyed the museum. It tells about the struggle for Atlantic City to stay alive. You will learn about the history of the rolling chair, Mr. Peanut to Miss America, and landmarks like the Absecon Lighthouse. There is an art museum on the other side for those who love art. Both are free, and both are open daily.
