Here is a little bit of what to expect when staying at the recently opened Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

A view of the Hotel
Best place to hang around is the center bar. It's inside the casino, which provides a lot of fun. Also, don't miss the slide in the pool -- it's very fast.

Quick Tips:

There is a special rate of until June 30th, 2004 (Code: Summer)

Best Way To Get Around:

Public transportation in South Florida is pretty much non-existent, make sure you rent a car when you come here.
Room with 2 queen beds
Size-wise, it is fairly large compared to other Hard Rock hotels. There is a 27" TV with about 30 channels. There is no MTV or VH1 or any music channels. There are, however, plenty of pay per view options for movies, TV programs and yes, music videos. There is a Tivoli Sound system, very nice little thing with very good sound quality. There is also a mini bar right below the TV.

The bathroom is pretty big for a hotel of this category. There are two sinks outside, and then a big bathtub with commode inside, with lots of goodies like oatmeal soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand/body lotion, after sun lotion, hair dryer, and an iron.

I was very impressed with the room in general. I have stayed at all the other Hard Rock hotels around the world, and this is by far the best room that I have stayed at.

The Council Oak

Restaurant

Their main speaciality is the steaks, which they age right there on the restaurant. The menu is very limited, with only 4 different cuts. They also have seafood, like Chilean bass and lobster.

For appetizers, I have tried the onion soup (excellent) and the fried calamari. For the main course, I recomend the Cowboy. It's a rib-eye steak with the bone. Excellent! The service is very good too. This is indeed a great addition to this area, as we were sorely lacking restaurants of this category in Hollywood.

Beach Club

Experience

Beach Club
This is probably one of the biggest disappointments of the hotel. The pool area is awesome, and the slide is very long and fast, but the pool is 3'3" deep EVERYWHERE. Oh, what a disappointment! There are about 10 cabanas, a beach volleyball court, 2 Jacuzzis, a kids' pool and bar/restaurant in the pool.
