We had a great experience at the Embassy! First off, I'd like to say my wife and I are timeshare owners with RCI. We put in for an exchange to Maui. We were very happy with the resort (or should I say "megaresort" because it was huge).
Since we were there on a timeshare exchange, we had to pay for the week for breakfast and a day to park in the parking garage. The reviews you've read about the small parking spaces are accurate, but little has been said that there is a bottom level and those spaces are a bit bigger.
The parking spaces may be small, but the room suites are just more like apartment size -- we were ecstatic to have that much space!!!! We had an ocean view and nice balcony. We also had cable with HBO, but we mostly watched Channel 7, the visitor’s channel. The room was great, but we had just one small complaint: the showerhead was attached to the ceiling and we didn’t care for that.
The managers’ happy hour from 4-6pm was all right with mixed snacks (chips and pretzels); the drinks were not made with top shelf stuff.
We went through the Embassy timeshare presentation; the woman was nice to us and did not pressure us. She knew that we already owned one timeshare and we just said we didn’t need another one.
All in all, it was a great experience at the Embassy Suites.
Quick Tips:
Use sunscreen and bring sunglasses. Bring an underwater and a regular camara.
Best Way To Get Around:
You must have a rental car.
