Dubai Shopping

The shopping festival held in the city of Dubai has bargains available throughout the city. If you are an electronics lover, the Dubai Shopping Festival is the place to pick up electronic goodies, gold, and designer perfumes at bargain prices. This was the best ever shopping experience. I suggest you bring a lot of money if you want to do some shopping.

The city of Dubai is kept neat and tidy and to me is one of the cleanest cities I’ve seen ever. The city has beautiful gardens in the city center. The electronic souk is the place to be for electronic shopping. There are many shopping malls to shop at for designer clothing, perfumes, electronics, jewelry.........but i suggest buying most of your goodies from the streets as you will get them at bargain prices.

Tours to do in Dubai:
I suggest doing a city tour as soon as you arrive before doing your shopping. The city tour will give you an indication of what is where and how to get there. Get a map of dubai would be most suitable. Also the map will save you money when going to places. You can rather walk to places instead of taking taxis, which will cost you. The tour also gives you a good history of Dubai. Very interesting history on Dubai and lots of stories to tell when you reach home. I would rate the city tour a 5 out of 5. A must for the holiday-maker.

I found the food not that cheap but i suggest trying there local foods instead of American food like take-aways (burgers and chips) The local food is really good.

Don’t forget when shopping, especially during the shopping festival, to enter the raffle draws. You get the chance of winning tons of prices through the raffle draws. The more you shop the better your chances of winning.

Shopping in Dubai can be done late in the evening as well, so relax during the day at your hotel by the poolside then venture out in the evenings. The weather is really hot during the day so take my advice and do this. The shopping atmosphere is really great during the evenings. Once again, take lots and lots of cash to really enjoy the shopping festival. You will not regret it.

The desert safari is the most memorable of my experiences in Dubai. Anyone that visits Dubai and doesn’t go for this tour has not seen Dubai.

The desert dunes ride is a 4 to 5 hour ride into the desert and after the ride is finished you will enjoy a superb fun-filled dinner in the middle of the desert with true peace of mind and away from everything else in the world. Belly dancing and smoking the hubbly comes after dinner, which is wonderful. I’ve included pics, so please have a look. I suggest you take a good camera and video camera to take pictures of this tour. For those that love drinking, note that alcohol and soft drinks are available at no extra cost. So make the best of it. The food is also great after the dunes ride. Just a tip and some safety, people with back problems should not try and do this safari, and don’t eat before going on this tour of this desert.
