Sao Jose do Rio Preto
The night life by far is the most exciting adventure, especially for the youth. Love in the air is so strong,it will drive you crazy. I know; my wife drove me crazy there. LOL

Very friendly citizens and clean city. This is one reason the city remains an asset for Brazil. Going to one of many of the country clubs is worth the pleasure.

Quick Tips:

Be prepared to have a good time. Blending into the society of its people isn't difficult.

You will find a terrific fleamarket a few blocks up from the bus station. Prepare to 'barter'. Only a fool will pay full price.

Try a buffet style restuarant called 'Riodizio'. You will never eat them out of business. The steaks are great.

Best Way To Get Around:

Public buses depart from the center of the city for about 50 cents. Taxi cabs are plentifuland approximately five dollars for the fare in town. Most bigger hotels are within walking distance of the bus station.
Passion Flower
This is a very popular attraction among people of all ages. The water reserve produces 40% of the needs of the electricity for this city of 330 thousand inhabitants. There are beautiful gardens, picnic tables, trails and it is even quite a 'hotspot' with the youth in the raomantic mood. Yes, parents, if your son or daughter mentions he or she is going to see the 'repressa' water reservatory, what they really mean is they are going fishing for 'kisses', of course, at night when the night's presence is so gorgeous.

Now that is a bunch of BULL
If the life of cowboys and rodeos are to your liking, you will love to see some of the best rodeos available. You may have grown up thinking our 'Wild West' is something. This is the event that separates the boys from the men. It is held every end of July till the beginning of August. So get your chaps ready and ride a bull. There is also a quite challenging event called Tres Tambores, in which three cowgirls on horse form a pattern of a triangle and performan event in which resembles obstacles in a 360 degrees performance. It is very exciting. For any obstacles hit, five minute penalties are given to the score. The three talents needed for this event are percussion, speed and sincronism.

Every afternoon until early in the next morning, you will see hundreds of girls and guys pass down this famous avenue looking for a new girl or boy friend. Yes, love is in the air. Being that this city has some of Brazil's most beautiful women, you would be foolish not to view such a pageant of splendor. Logically, a guy's point of view. The girls like it as much too. Weekends are even more special with a turnout that would surprise the average tourist.

This Brazilian interior city in the state of Sao Paulo is where one gets a lot of their orange juice when Florida's weather is too cold. The surrounding regions are abundant with acres upon acres of coffee plants and orange groves. To mention the name of Sao Jose do Rio Preto in Brazil is to mention a successful city bound for unlimited boundaries. The city is celebrating its 146 year of existance.

To understand good government practices for its citizens, one most not look any further. It is commended for its personal growth and that of the surrounding regions. Its futuristic insight shall make it an even stronger city where others will fail to materialize. The growth of its city has far outpaced its past.

Mark my words: Today, you may have learned a new city and tomorrow you will be sure to know it even better.

In the last fifty years this city has grown from a minor to city to that of reknown importance. The first explosion was its civil construction, followed by that of its industrial revolution. Along these lines, it followed with one of the area's biggest education expansions to have become a city only fifty years ago known for its agriculture industries.

With the introduction in 1947 of FAAP (Foundation Armando Alvares Penteado), the surrounding cities have enjoyed a splendor of arts, culture and education. This individual upon his death endowed his entire estate to the continued expansions of art and culture.

So, someday, visit my favorite city, the one closest to my heart, and you will be at home as well.
Palestra Esportes Clube
You will find Sao Jose do Rio Preto is rich with some of the regions best country clubs. Among the best, will be Palestra, Monte Libano and Automobile Club. When arriving in this city it would be very beneficial to enter one of these clubs and request a 'free' pass while you are visiting this city. This will give you unlimited access to the night clubs, country clubs and discos admininstered by these clubs.

While at the Palestra located adjacent to the bus station, you will find their facilities quite enjoyable for sports activities and even a public spa. So get yourself in a relaxable environment and enjoy a safe journey.
