We had a two-bedroom lockout one-bedroom 4/4 full kitchen, big screen TV, and whirlpool. The small one-bedroom had a partial kitchen and no whirlpool. The resort offers cover parking, two pools, children's pool, and nature trails. It is only three minutes from Disney and eight minutes from Universal. I highly recommend this resort.

This resort is very nice. The customer service was wonderful.

The pools were between the buildings. This means that it is constantly in the shade. The children’s pool was very clean I nicely fenced in. However, the children's pool is unheated and it could be quite chilly!

The room was wonderful. We had the two-bedroom. It was two one-bedrooms next door to each other with a common entryway. The larger one-bedroom side was large! It had a king bed, large whirlpool, full bathroom, full kitchen, dining area, large living room with a big screen, and a wonderful patio with a table, chairs and overhead fan! The bedroom and living room had doors leading to the patio. The smaller one-bedroom was small. It had a king bed, standard bathroom, a partial kitchen. The dining table was in front of the door. You could only put two people at this table safely. The living room was very small. The patio could be accessed by the living room with two lawn chairs. The patio was only large enough for two people.

The parking was good. They even offer carports for free.

Quick Tips:

This resort is great if you are going to Disney! You just take 195 straight into disney! You do not have to fight the traffic from I-4 to get in or get out!!!!! It only took us eight minutes total to get to Disney and park at opening. At close, it only took us ten minutes to get back (the most time spent was waiting in line to exit Disney!)

Best Way To Get Around:

The resort offers shuttles to all of the major attractions. There is also a tram/bus system that picks up very close to the resort. I personally recommend a car to fully enjoy the area.

This is a dinner theater. They serve a four-course meal. We started witha wonderful salad, then onion soup followed by the main coarse baked chicken with steamed veggies and potatoes. Once you are finished, they bring you a wonderful apple pastry for dessert. You enjoy watching jousting and a mini-drama unfold while you eat. The audience is asked to join in the drama! The act changes every month. The childrens' favorite part was being able to eat with your hands!

Rain Forest Cafe

Restaurant

This is a wonderful dining experience located in Downtown Disney. You cannot miss this restaurant! The exterior is of an erupting volcano! When you enter inside you are greeted with the sight of a wonderful aquarium. While you wait to be seated you can browse through their large gift shop. When they take you to be seated you walk trough the aquarium and you can be seated in the "Ape," "Elephant," or the "Lion" section. (The bar is under a giant mushroom!) The ceiling appears as the tropical rainforest canopy accompanied with the sounds of a rain forest. Every 15 minutes you get to experience the animals come alive during the thunderstorm!

The food was wonderful! The children loved their specialty dessert "The Volcano!" This is the largest ice cream/brownie/cake thingy I have ever seen! It is in the shape of a very large volcano that is "erupting" whipped cream, fudge, & cherries. It takes three people to carry this out. They put three sparklers on the top and yell "Volcano!" when they serve it to you! My children loved it! I have to admit it was VERY tasty!

Rain Forest Cafe
Disney Marketplace Orlando, Florida

Universal

Activity

This is a great park for all. For adults, you have coasters and high energy rides with kid swap areas to avoid waiting through lines twice. Kiddos can cool off at Curious George and run from dinos in Jurassic Park. You must experience this park at least once. I recommend one day minimum per park. There's great nightlife and restraunts as well!
