UFOs in the California Desert?

A February 2004 trip to Los Angeles by suitcase59

We visited Landers, the home of the Integratron, a time travel machine. It's also famous for earthquakes. Check out the Giant Rock for UFO sightings. Stay at the 29 Palms Inn -- it has a nice pool and bar, and is a special place to unwind.

Best Things Nearby:
The city of Joshua Tree is quaint and has lots of supplies. Art galleries and cafes.

Best Things About the Resort:
Not another one like it. Truly unique.

Resort Experience:
There are many nice sites. This is the desert. They have fire pits and a bathroom. There are lots of families with kids and dogs on leashes. Take water and sunscreen. The nights can get cold, too, but it depends on the time of year you go.

Attraction | "Rocks Rule"

Joshua Tree is like no other place on the planet. Everyone should visit. It’s an amazing landscape with sand, trees, lots of Joshua Trees. It seems deserted, but many creatures live in the rocks and arid brush. It gets really HOT in the summer so be sure you have loads of water. If you don't want to hike, you can just drive through the park and take a picnic. There’s a ton to explore. They have nice signs telling you about the formations and all the vegetation and critters.

Story/Tip

The desert has an energy that makes you forget your worries. The big sky filled with stars, the warm nights, the swaying palm tress, all create a special feeling. Whenever I need to get away, I always run to the desert. Try it.
